The festive celebration will take place on November 14, with a full day of events planned across Wrexham city centre, including an artisan market, live entertainment, a Christmas parade and an evening concert.
The celebrations will begin at 10am in Queen's Square with Seasonal Wrexham's Artisan Market, organised by Wrexham's Artisan Market.The countdown to the official switch-on will start from 4.30pm, when crowds are expected to gather in Queen's Square to see Wrexham's Christmas lights illuminated for the festive season.Immediately afterwards, the city's Christmas Parade will make its way through the streets of Wrexham.
A key feature of the parade will be Nightingale House Hospice's lantern procession, which raises money for the hospice while providing a colourful and memorable addition to the festivities.
The celebrations will continue into the evening with a live switch-on concert at Eagles Meadow Shopping Centre, beginning at 5.30pm.
Organisers have promised a line-up of live music and performances to round off the day.
